Life is always changing. Even when we feel stuck. Everyone goes through all kinds of seasons . . . happy ones. Sad ones. Waiting ones. Busy ones. And everything in between. This month, we want to talk about the season of life and how to seek God as we walk through them. Not to mention an Allergy Friendly Copycat Vanilla Starbucks Frappuccino recipe, a new short story, a personal testimony, and a review of the beautiful book The Girl Who Could See. Enjoy! And as always, never hesitate to reach out or comment with questions, suggestions, or prayer requests.

Tasty Turn- August 2014
Tasty Turn
This month in Tasty Turn, have featured some crazy but tasty food ideas. Make sure you try them because they taste pretty surprising. Don’t forget to send us your recipes for our Reader’s Recipe Page.
Cottage Cheese Combinations:
At one of our B.R.I.G.H.T. Lights meetings, we read a story about a man who was at a picnic. He used the same spoon to scoop the cottage cheese and the applesauce out to people. Meaning that he mixed the applesauce and the cottage cheese together so everyone had both of them together. In the story, it talked about how disgusting it was, but we decided to try it out for our snack and see how it tasted.
All you will need for this recipe is:
- Cottage Cheese
- Whatever things you wants to mix in it. It could be apple sauce, tomatoes, blueberries, cashews, craisons, or whatever you would like.
Since I (Ainsley) love to try interesting foods, I decided to try all the funky foods listed above and in this picture. I have to say that the applesauce actually didn’t taste bad with the cottage cheese. To be honest, I think my favorite was the cottage cheese mixed with the craisins.
We would love to hear what crazy foods you tried in your cottage cheese, and if you liked them or not. Also, what crazy foods you like to eat together.
Here are some more crazy but tasty food ideas:
- Ketchup on mac’n cheese
- Parmesan on popcorn
- Salt on tomatoes, watermelon or cucumbers
- Carrots in honey mustard
- Celery with peanut butter and blueberries on top
