No, I’m serious, I do actually want to know :). Sometimes our stories feel boring, unimportant, or hard to tell. Sometimes we feel self-conscience or reluctant. But the thing is our stories -our testimonies- are very important! They hold so much power!

….but we’ll get more into that in a minute, just scroll down! You’ll also find a special interview with author C.B. Cook, and *whispers conspiratorially* her newest cover reveal!!!!! *confetti* So without further ado I present to you this month’s magazine!

Don’t forget to send us your questions on anything having to do with entertainment!

Q: Dear Authors,

What do you think about the movie How to Train Your Dragon 2? I thought the first movie was pretty good, but I wanted to know if it’s worth seeing the second one.

A: Dear Th!nk Reader,

I recently saw How to Train Your Dragon 2 and I thought it was okay. In my opinion, I think the first movie was better, but just by a little bit. I think it is fine for any age group because there is nothing inappropriate in it. Yes, there is kissing, but it’s between a mom and a dad, and Hiccup and Astrid(who do it on the cheek, but they are about 20 so I think it’s fine). If you liked the first movie, I think you would like the second one. Beware, I almost cried so you might cry also. Overall, I think it’s a great movie that I think lot’s of our readers would like.

Q:Dear Authors,

I was wondering what kind of music you listen to. Do you only listen to Christian or do you listen to other stuff also?

A: Dear Th!nk Reader,

I know the authors listen to a lot of the JoyFM or SpiritFm. It’s mostly the only music I listen to. I know that Grace is a big Taylor Swift fan. She is always wearing her “Red” shirt and bracelet. Other than that, we aren’t really big music listeners. I don’t think it’s wrong to listen to non-Christian music, but it is wrong to be singing or listening to inappropriate things that your parents wouldn’t want you to be hearing. Keep an eye out for lyrics that aren’t God honoring. Do you remember in Life’s Instructions when we showed song lyrics and talked about what every word meant? We did that mostly to show how important it is to understand what you are singing.

This month, we are doing this page instead of Ask Ainsley. Please tell us if you like it or not. You can send your questions to our email and we would gladly reply and put it in our next magazine if you would like.

Dear Th!nk,

I wanted to know what your opinion is on the movie Frozen. Do you think it goes along with what the Bible says? Do you think it’s a good influence? Thanks!

Dear Th!nk Reader,

I think that the movie Frozen is very good. I think it goes against the Bible when it talks about marrying someone you just met that day. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t watch it though. You should understand that that’s not what we as Christians do. We may wish that could happen to us, but like in the movie, it usually isn’t the one you’re supposed to marry. One more thing I don’t like about the movie is the lyrics to the song ‘Let it Go’. Recently at my youth group, we have been talking about looking at what music you listen to and the lyrics. Is the music you listen to God honoring? I’m not saying it has to be Christian, but you shouldn’t be listening to songs that go against the Bible. Back to my point, in ‘Let it Go’, it talks about there being no right and no wrong and having no rules. When you think about it, that’s not what the Bible says. I’m not saying you shouldn’t listen to this song, I’m saying that you might want to consider what you’re singing about.  Songs are very catchy and sometimes, you don’t even realize what you’re singing. It’s time for you to make a choice. I know that whatever you choose is fine with me. To wrap this up, I think Frozen is a great movie, but you might want to consider what you sing about and what you believe we should do.Hope this helps!

Dear Th!nk,

My parents say I’m aloud to use YouTube, but I know there can be some harmful things on it. Do you think I should use YouTube? What do you think?

Dear Th!nk Reader,

My parents do not let me go on YouTube by myself. I am fine with that because I know, like you that there is some really bad stuff that you can be exposed to without even trying. I would say that you should be careful when searching for things and try to only go on if you need to. I don’t think you should just “surf” the web when you don’t have a reason. That’s when you find harmful things that are not good for our hearts and minds. Proverbs 4:23 says to guard your hearts above all else, for everything you do flows from it. This means that we should be careful with what we watch, hear, and see. The world doesn’t have the same mindsets we do and even in something that seems good often there are sinful things that subtly creep in. It might be hard, but it’s what is safest and what God wants. I’m not saying you should never use YouTube, but it’s safest if you use it when you have a purpose that goes along with the Bible. If you do go on YouTube, you will most likely want an adult to be around. One time, my family and I were watching a video review for instructions on a toy (don’t know why). You know how at the beginning of most videos they show an advertisement? Well this time, the advertisement didn’t look like something my siblings and I should see, so my mom quickly closed the computer. I wasn’t actually some bad, but I could see how it looked like something harmful. I know that my mom really cares about me and what I watch so seeing this made me feel good. It’s time for you to make a choice. I know that whatever you choose is what you think is best for yourself. To wrap this up, I think going on YouTube is okay, but you should be careful and look up things that agree with what the Bible says. If you can, I think it’s best that you have an adult around.
