Life’sInstructions | This month, we are going to explain the song ‘God of the Impossible’ by Everfound. I hope you will like this song as much as I do. |
Verse 1-Just a boy with a sling and a stone, but the heart of a lion dared him to go.
To hear the sound of the cynical, die out with the sound of the giant’s fall. I dare to believe in incredible things. Ohhh, oh ohh! I’m ready to go, I’m ready to gooo-oh! I won’t look back, cause I was made to be a part, of the, imposs-ible! You’re God, of the, imposs-ible! Here I am! Lord send me! I won’t back down, cause I believe You are the God, of the, imposs-ible! Here, I, am, send me! dreamin’ for more than the life I have known. ‘Til I tasted a burning coal, and my guilt was erased, and my sin was atoned! Ohhh, oh ohh! I dare to believe in incredible things. Ohhh, oh ohh! I’m ready to go, I’m ready to gooo-oh! Chorus– Here I am! Lord send me! I won’t look back, cause I was made to be a part, of the, imposs-ible! You’re God, of the, imposs-ible! Here I am! Lord send me! I won’t back down, cause I believe You are the God, of the, imposs-ible! Here, I, am, send me! Bridge-Ohhh, oh ohh! I dare to believe in incredible things. Ohhh, oh ohh! cause you’re the God of the impossible. Ohhh, oh ohh! I dare to believe in incredible things. Ohhh, oh ohh! I’m ready to go, I’m ready to gooo-oh! Chorus-Here I am! Lord send me! I won’t look back, cause I was made to be a part, of the, imposs-ible! You’re God, of the, imposs-ible! Here I am! Lord send me! I won’t back down, cause I believe You are the God, of the, imposs-ible! Here, I, am, send me! |
Verse 1– You may think you’re just anordinary person, but because were are Christians we are different. We have God
on our side to help us do impossible things. Add On- I’m ready to go fight for the Lord and what he has done. I believe in him because I know he can do amazing things. Verse 2– We were empty and alone but then Jesus came and died for us which cleansed our sins. Bridge– God is so powerful and incredible. We should believe in him because he can do all things whether it’s possible or not. |

G.A.C.(God’s Amazing Creation)Kangaroo Diet: Kangaroos have chambered stomachs similar to those of cattle and sheep. They regurgitate the vegetation they have eaten, chew it as cud, and then swallow it again for final digestion. Different species of kangaroos have different diets, although all are strict herbivores. The eastern grey kangaroo is predominantly a grazer, eating a wide variety of grasses, whereas some other species (e.g. the red kangaroo) include significant amounts of shrubs in their diets. The smaller species of kangaroos also consume hypogeal fungi. Description:

Book LookBruchko by Bruce Olson himself is a miraculous and inspiring true story about a man who gave everything to God and was richly rewarded for it. At age 19 Bruce (or Bruchko as he is also called) set off to spread the gospel to a tribe of murderous stone age South American Indians. ‘Welcomed’ with a spear injury Bruchko launches into a lifelong journey with the Motilone tribe of Native South Americans. Join Bruchko in the struggles he must face to gain glorious triumphs for God’s kingdom. As he works Bruchko discovers important truths on how to share the wonderful good news successfully. Even after he is accepted into the Motilone tribe Bruchko must undergo sorrow, threat and many trials, but God never leaves him even when he is on the brink of death God loves and prevails. I think one of the reasons this book is so good is because God wrote the story in it: The story of one man’s life. There is also a sequel to this book if you are interested called: Bruchko and the Montilone Miracle |
Crafty CornerMake your own wildflower bookmark
Since the second week of this month is wildflower week we have decided to make wildflower bookmarks so you can always look at God’s amazing creation. Matthew 6:28-30 NIV says,28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? We suggest doing this with your brother or sister since the 1st of May is Brothers and Sisters day. Another Idea is to make a bookmark for you teacher since the 6th is National Teacher’s day! Items needed:
Step 1: Go outside in your yard or to a park and collect lots of flowers, leaves or anything else like that. Make sure you ask before picking something from someone else’s garden. Step 2: Lay a paper towel in the open heavy book and put some of your flowers on it. Than, cover the flowers with another paper towel and close the book. Open it to another part of the book and repeat this until all the flowers/leaves are used. Step 3: Step 4: Remove the flowers and paper towels from the book and arrange some on a slip of paper about the size you want your bookmark. You can put a little message, bible verse, or drawing on it if you want. Step 5: If you have a laminator use that to laminate the bookmarks but if not carefully use tape to tape the flowers on and seal the bookmark, creating your own laminated bookmark! Step 6: If you want you can use a hole puncher to punch a hole in the top and tie a ribbon through it. |
Paint the way…May 8th is no socks day, so we were thinking you might want to paint your toe (Or/and finger) nails for the occasion. We have a special way you can have fun with this and share God with others too! Have you ever seen a really cool or unique painted fingernail and commented on it to that person? Probably. This is a really easy way to get conversations started, you don’t have to say anything! This is a unique way to paint your nails and people are likely to comment on it, or ask about it.
Black: Our sin Romans 3:10 Yellow: God’s glory which we fall short of Romans 3:23 Red: The blood Jesus shed on the cross to cover over our sins Romans 4:25 & Romans 5:8 White: We are now washed clean and purified from all sin Acts 22:16 & James 4:8 Green: Eternal life in heaven Romans 6:23 So, when people comment on your nails or ask about their peculiar color (which appears to be in no particular pattern) you can share the gospel with them. I suggest you memorize the Bible verses above so you can be as 2 Timothy 4:2 and be ‘ready in season and out’; ready to share the wonderful love God has freely lavished on us with others. |
Fun & GamesJokes: Q. Why did the banana go to the hospital? A: Because he wasn’t peeling well! A: An envelope. A: Because she wanted to hit the high C’s. A: Lunch and dinner |
Treasure HuntTake a walk(or bike) with your family this month and see if you can find all of the items listed below. Some of them might be challenging depending on where you live or what time of day it is, but hopefully while you’re doing this, you will have a fun time with your family.
We would love to hear how your treasure hunt went. Please email us all about it! |
Quiz Yourself: All About Your TalentsAnswer these questions and think about what they mean for you. How can you use this information to see how you can best use your time, and talents for God.
We would love to hear your answers and give you ideas for things you could do for the Lord. If your talents could help us with Th!nk, we would love to hear what you would like to do for us and we can talk about it. |
Dissect itEphesians 6: 14-17 NIV 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
So, have you decided that yes, you want to take a stand, you want to make an impact and do as much as possible for God in the little time he has given us on earth. You want to be a missionary where you are. Part of this is witnessing to those who haven’t heard the gospel. You know this and you have decided to follow 2 Timothy 4:2 and you have read, memorized, researched and are determined to be prepared to share the gospel at anytime anywhere. You only have one problem: you’re scared. The Bible says to not fear anything but God. He is all powerful and will protect you in everything. He loves you and as long as you are doing his will he is with you. Don’t worry about what exactly you will say, how you will say it, to who, and when. God knows the details and will make them known to you in due time. This applies in every kind of ministry you just have t let it go and trust God; let go of what you cannot keep, or control, to gain what you cannot lose: your reward in Heaven. Even if you think you can’t do (fill in the blank) God can take a willing heart and make it happen. Don’t be pushed around by the devil’s lies and deceptions but instead clothe yourself in truth and spend time in God’s word that you may know right from wrong. Use the shield of faith to not only fight but extinguish the devils attacks and not only defend but attack him with the sword of the spirit which is the word of God. Fight lies with truth, darkness with light, Satan with God’s power that is in us who believe and have his holy spirit. Do not be afraid God goes before you, walks with you, and has your back. Only be open to his voice. When you are unsure do not falter, be still and listen; Isaiah 30: 21 says, 21 Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” |
Define It Word: Missionary Definitions:According to Google-a person sent on a religious mission, esp. one sent to promote Christianity in a foreign country. According to Dictianary.com- a person sent by a church into an area to carry on evangelism or other activities, as educational or hospital work. According to TheFreeDictionary,com- one who is sent on a mission, especially one sent to do religious or charitable work in a territory or foreign country. To me, I like all the definitions except for the one from Dictionary.com. I dislike it because it talks about the church sending you to preach God’s word. My opinion is that you don’t have to go with your church or be inspired by your church to want to be a missionary to others. Sometimes, the mission work I do isn’t even related to my church. The other definitions talk about being sent to preach Christianity. What I like the most, is that it says especially if you go to a foreign country. It’s not saying you have to go to a foreign country to be called a missionary, it’s saying that you would especially be called a missionary if you went. I guess to me, the way I would define missionary is: a person who helps others learn about the Gospel no matter where they are or how old they are. We need to be missionaries wherever we are. Whether it’s at the store, if you staying overnight somewhere, or if you just taking a walk around the neighborhood. We always need to be ready to share the Gospel to others and share with other how God has changed our lives(our testimonies). If you look in Real Life Stories, you will get to read part of Ainsley’s testimony. God created each of us to help others have a relationship with Him. We need to do what God created us to do. We wanted to make it clear that wherever you are whatever age you are you can be a missionary. I feel like some people think that the only way you can be a missionary is to go to another country. I think it’s really important to help others become closer to God. |
Life’s Application“Hi Christina!” Laura cheerfully plopping down next to her friend, who was in the middle of a math problem. They were in the library and they had planned to do their grammar homework together. “Just a minute…” Christina mumbled, “There! Now I can pay attention,” She announced slapping closed her math book. Laura smiled, “I have some good news! she said as the two girls got out their grammar worksheets. “What?” Christina asked. “My Mom says you can come over on Friday for dinner,” Laura told her, “Do you think you can come?” Probably, I guess I should check with my Mom and make sure though,” Christina responded, What do you think about problem 4?”
*** Ding-dong! “I’ll get it! Yelled Laura’s younger brother, Michael. “Hi!” HE greeted Christina, “Oh here, I’ll take that for you!” He said, reaching out to grab the plate of cookies Christina had brought. “Hi Christina!”Laura said coming downstairs, “This is my brother Michal. His birthday is in a few days and he will be nine,” “Well, Happy Birthday than!” Christina congratulated Michael.. He beamed, “Thanks!”. “As you can see He is already becomes a great young man,” Laura said, Do you want a tour of the house?” She asked Christina. *** “This is Cecilia’s room,” Laura announced knocking, and then opening a door to the right. Inside Christina could see pink walls, a castle shaped bed, and flowery curtains. In one corner there was a doll house, and, behind it they could see a young girl who looked like a littler version of Laura. She had the same dark, wavy hair and bright blue eyes. She had on the same kind of skirt Christina sometimes saw Laura wearing at school, and Christina noticed she had her hair up in the same but Laura always wore. “As you can see, she does an excellent job keeping her room clean, It even rivals Brittney’s room!” Laura continued. Brittney was Laura’s oldest sister but she was away for the evening at a birthday party. “Laura!” The siblings mother called from the kitchen, “would you please come stir the vegetables for me?” “Yes ma’am!” Laura called back hurrying downstairs. Christina followed her. When they got there Michal was already setting the table, “What would you like to drink with dinner?” he asked Christina, “we have milk, juice, water…”. “Umm…water sounds good,” she said, “Thanks!”. *** Later that evening the two girls were up in Laura’s room after a game of go fish with the whole family. “Do you want to see what I got for Michael’s birthday present?” Laura asked. “Sure,” replied Christina. As Laura was rummaging around in her closet Christina asked, “Do you ever get annoyed with Cecilia for copying you?,”She asked, “I know I would… or do,” “Well, yes… but I have realized that i is better for her to copy me than for her to copy someone else’s maybe bad clothing choices,” Laura replied, half-hidden as she dug through a bin. “What about in other things?” Christina asked. “Yeah I guess so, but again the same thing. Besides as a younger sibling myself I realize how much it means to her, and how much she looks up to me,” Laura said, “Anyway it helps me to watch everything I do so it is the right thing because I know she and Michael are watching me and imitating me in everything,” Laura said and triumphantly pulled out a brand-new football, “It has his favorite team on it. Do you want to help me wrap it?” She asked. *** The girls admired their handiwork. “Okay, so I still don’t get it,” Christina admitted, “How and why does your family get along so well, even though I try it seems impossible and I just want to give up. I only have a few more years to endure anyway,” She said. Laura smiled, “Well let me let you in on a little secret. Though my family also has similar goals I am sure I have decided where my mission field is for now… in my house! In my family! I know it seems crazy but I have decided that these are the people God has put in my life to reach out to at the moment. I have been holding morning prayer meetings and similar things every day and it seems that when we start the day off right it helps a lot… there is a lot…” |

6 ways you might be able to be a missionary wherever you are
Be sensitive to notice other’s needs and to pray for them. Ask people how you can pray for them and pray for unbelievers to find God. Pray for people of other specific religions, and pray for those in authority. Pray for your church, family, teachers, classmates, and friends. Pray for those sick or injured. Pray for the persecuted in the body of Christ, and pray for missionaries in foreign countries. There are so many people you can help through prayer! Romans 12:12 NIV says, Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
Tell everyone you meet about the wonderful King you serve who actually cares for you specifically! I mean, can you think of any other King or President (etc.) who cares personally for you and takes time to listen to each and every one of his subjects? Don’t let your passion for Christ be curbed by worry of what other people think of you! Let his love spread like fire through you! Mark 16: 15 NIV says, 15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Mark 8: 34-36 also says, 34 Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. 35 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it. 36 What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?
Be friendly, hospitable! Love people that they may see God’s love through you! Once they see you are trustworthy they will be willing to listen to what you have to say about Jesus.Let them see him through how you live and act. Romans 12:13-14 says, 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. 14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
Someone once said, ‘Preach the gospel all day, and, when necessary, use words’ Preach with your actions, with love. Make yourself a servant that others may see Christ through you. Look at True Stories for an example of this in action. 1 Peter 4:9-11 NIV Says,9 Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. 10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 11 If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
Even if God hasn’t given you the gift of writing you can still write to share the good news. You can write notes of encouragement to family and friends. You can write Christmas card for lonely neighbors. You can write tracts and hand them out with sweet treats. You can write your testimony so you will be ready in season and out. Prepared to tell others why you Love God as you do.
Do you know younger girls who you can encourage, listen to, and teach? Then do it! Even if it seems intimidating you do all things through Christ who gives you strength! You can even teach people older than you about God if you let God speak through you. Just share him through your words and actions and let God do the rest! 1 Timothy 4:12-13 NIV says, 12 Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. 13 Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. |
Detailed DialogThis month, Th!nk decided to interview a kid missionary. Her name is Aryn and she is 7 years old. Every once and a while, she goes with her family go(downtown as we call it) to a church where homeless people gather. She and many other people provide a meal for them and provide any other necessities. Here is the interview we had with Aryn about her ministry in helping the homeless: Th!nk- What does it feel like to help those who have less than us? Aryn- It feels good and I am happy when I serve them. I hope that they will do the same as me from my example. Aryn- I like it when you get to give them drinks and food. Aryn- I like serving them and being an example of Christ to them. Aryn- By giving them stuff that they can use like stuffed animals & toys. I also help put dinner on their plates. Aryn- They can be a blessing to others, they can donate items to local charities, and can give shoes and clothing to those in need. |
AskAinsleyDon’t forget to send us your questions so that Ainsley can answers them! Just email her by sending an email to Th!nk titled Ask Ainsley. She loves helping you! Q: Dear Ainsley, I have always wanted to be a missionary, but I know it costs a lot of money. What are some ways I can earn more money so I can go on a missions trip? Thank you! God will provide all the money if it is His will for you to go on that missions trip. If not, it might not be the right time or even in God’s plan. For raising money, you could do a lemonade stand during the summer or hot chocolate stand during the winter. You could sell handmade bookmarks or sell pastries. If you’re a great artist or good at origami, you could sell those things for money. Most importantly, I would pray to God and request that you would like to go on a missions trip. I would continually pray and wait for God’s timing. Instead of getting Christmas presents or birthday presents, you could ask for money. Whatever you do, trust in God! -Ainsley Why did you guys start Th!nk in the first place? What is your story? How did you all meet? You can go to our website (www.mythinkmag.wordpress.com) to read about how we started. It doesn’t specifically state how we all met, but I’ll tell you now. Ainsley met Sara at church a couple years ago. She then invited me to be apart of a mother daughter Bible study call Sweet Spirit Club. After a year of me being there, some people moved out of state, and others were too busy so we decided to stop. Soon after, we formed our own B.R.I.G.H.T Lights group. Since we were starting brand new, we decided to have new people join us. Sara soon met Grace at a Kayaking thing and we invited her to join us for our new Bible study. We decided to start Th!nk since we were reading about ‘ How to Develop a Ministry’ in our Bright Lights group. We really felt God/ the Holy Spirit speaking to us about starting Th!nk. With God’s help, we have been able to put out 10 and now 11 editions. I hope this helps! If you have any more questions, please feel free to email us. -Ainsley |
Real Life Stories Why, God?By A 12-year-old girl A couple years ago, my parents took a trip to Kenya, Africa to see the work the missionaries from my church were doing. To me, I thought that it would be so cool to be a missionary just like my parents. I just so happened that two years later, they were going to go back, but with a group of people. I really felt God telling me to go, so I talked to my parents about me going to Kenya with them, and they prayed about it. They said I could go with them, and I was so excited. At that point I think I’d only been out of North America once, but never to Africa. All the sudden, my parents were realizing that we might not have enough money for me to go since it was so expensive to fly to Africa and back. On night, my parents came into my room and told me the news; that I wouldn’t be going to Africa with them. I was so devastated and cried all night. I never realized God’s purpose for this until about a year later. A big thing happened over that summer changed my life and a few others, and if I had been in Africa, none of it wouldn’t have happened. I wish I would have realized it sooner, but I’m happy that I didn’t go. Now that I’m older, I understand that I don’t have to go to a different continent to be a missionary. I have also grown better in my relationship with God and now understand that he has a plan for everything. My mom a couple months ago said that in a couple of years, she will take me to Kenya. I was so happy and now I can’t wait until the day we leave for our trip, even though I know it will be in a while. |
Behind the ScenesThis month, we decided to update our ‘About the Authors’ page since it’s almost been a year since we started Th!nk (the July edition will make it our 1st year) and all three of us have changed a little from last year. Meet Sara- Hi, I’m Sara(without an h), a 12-year-old girl who gave her time and talents to God and somehow God has been using my friends and I to put this magazine together! Remember God can do great things with you if you let him, I hope you are blessed and encouraged by what he is doing through us. I have recently moved to Oak Harbor, Washington (state) a few months after my friends and I started Th!nk. This is our 3rd big move: First we were in Florida, then South Korea, than Florida, and now Washington. I have 1 younger brother and 1 younger sister, plus we have a family dog. I have always enjoyed writing stories and books; I also like to do crafts. I play sports and games with my siblings and neighbor kids but currently I am not part of any organized sport. Though I want to I do not play any instrument yet either. One of my dreams is to become a writer and a story I am currently working on is about a little old lady named Mrs. Pickle who has a pet dinosaur…. now imagine the rest! I am homeschooled full time and my worst subject is math. I am sure you can guess my favorite one. I’m Ainsley & I’m 12 years old. I’m part home schooled and my favorite subject is writing(who would guess?). I live in Safety Harbor, FL and have all my life. I love crocheting, playing flute, watching hockey( Go Lightning!), listening to Christian music, spending time with my family, and baking cookies. My favorite sports to play are volleyball, basketball, and soccer. My favorite section to write for Th!nk is Ask Ainsley and secondly, Life’s Instructions. Something that you probably wouldn’t guess about me is that I love to try new foods. I have a younger brother and a younger sister but no pets. I have always wanted a dog, though, but my parents won’t let me. I love love love writing. When I grow up, I want to be some kind of writer. I think God has gifted me with the ability to write well and have good handwriting. Hi! I’m Grace and I am 12 years old. I love reading and listening to music. I have lived in Florida for my whole life. I’m not totally sure what my favorite subject is. My favorite college football team is the Florida Gators. The sports I play are soccer, basketball and flag football. |
Not interested in Th!nk anymore? That’s alright. We hope you liked it! Just email us and you can unsubscribe.
