Detailed Dialog- Kelli from SHINE

Detailed Dialogue

This month we were able to interview SHINE Brightly Magazine’s Editor: Kelli. To learn more about them go to: http://www.gemsgc.org/girls/shine_brightly/story4.html

Th!nk: What do you do as your job for SHINE?

Kelli: I am the Managing Editor for SHINE brightly Magazine. This means I write most of what goes in the magazine and edit all of it. I get to do interviews, organize photo shoots, and chat with readers!

Th!nk: How has God impacted your life?

Kelli: God is my creator–He has given me the gifts and talents to be able to do my job and glorify Him through it all. I am very thankful for everything He has done for me! He blesses me every day and I always try to worship Him in everything I do.

Th!nk: What do you like best about SHINE?

Kelli: I love the whole magazine but one of my favorite parts is interviewing and telling the stories of girls and women everywhere! I’m always so inspired by the people I get to interview and feature in SHINE.

Th!nk: What is your favorite thing to do besides SHINE?

Kelli: My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family and friends. They mean the world to me and I always have the most fun when i’m close to them!

Th!nk: What is something special about yourself that not a lot of people know about you?

Kelli: I don’t know if this is something special, but I don’t like mustard! I don’t think many people know that about me.

Th!nk: What is your favorite Bible verse? Why?

Kelli: I have lots of favorites but one that I love is Proverbs 3:5-6. It says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.

Th!nk: How did you start SHINE? or How did you come upon SHINE?

Kelli: SHINE brightly has been around for a long time! I used to read the magazine when I was younger (although it was called a different name) and when I saw there was a job opening a few years ago, I knew I wanted to work for the publication!

Thank you so much, Kelli for taking the time to answer these questions! If you have any ideas for people we could interview (or want to be interviewed) please tell us in your comments.
