Life’s Instructions Read: Matthew 5:43-45 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes the sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.” There are tons of other great verses on LOVE so if you would like, you could pick another verse in place of Matthew 5:43-45. Day 1: Read Matthew 5:43-45(or any other verse on love). Think about what it means and how you could become better at doing what it says. Day 2: Read the verse(s) again but this time read it in a different translation . Even though it will probably talk about the same things, it still can help. Day 3: Read the verse(s) again and tell it to one of your friends, or family member. Tell them what it means and how it can help you. This may encourage whoever you tell. Don’t forget to pray and ask God to help you. Day 4: Pray for others. If any of your friends or family members are having problems, or trouble you, you should pray for them. Don’t only pray for them today, but pray for them whenever you think of them or have the time. Day 5: Encourage others around you. Encouraging is just one way to show love to others. What other ways can you show love? Day 6: Look up different verses on love. A great idea is to look in 1 Corinthians 13. This chapter is all about LOVE. Day 7(optional): What has God helped you do through this verse? We would love to hear in your comments |
